Frequently Asked Questions
How are my calls billed?
The charges for calls to our access numbers will simply appear on your
normal phone bill from your telephone provider (usually BT). You are
not charged separately by us.
Where a country has a different
rate for daytime, evening and weekend, does it apply to the UK time
or the time in the country called?
The rates apply to the UK time.
When do evening rates apply?
Evening rates depend on which provider you use to pay your phone bill.
For most providers this is Mon-Fri: 6pm to 8am, but BT's evening rate
is Mon-Fri: 6pm to 6am.
Why won't my call connect
when I use your service?
In most cases this is down to two reasons. 1) The phone you are dialling
'to' might be a mobile without you realising. In many cases calls to
a mobile use a higher rate access number. Check the listing to see if
this is applicable. 2) Our rates fluctuate from time to time, and sometimes
we have to route calls through a higher rate access number making the
number that you might currently have unapplicable. Please recheck our
listings to see if this is the reason.
If the above does not solve your problem, then please contact

Do I need to pay a subscription
or other fees when using RingSID?

stated against each RingSID access number is the cost per minute as

destination you want.

payphones?

including payphones.
Are there peak and off-peak
rates?
No. Access numbers are charged at the same rate 24 hours a day...7 days
a week.
Do calls made from UK
mobiles attract a surcharge?
If you are ringing from a mobile you could be surcharged by your mobile
operator. This depends on your mobile operator and which tariff plan
you have. We advise you to get in touch with your mobile phone provider
to double check if they surcharge on calls to our access numbers, or
alternatively, try a short 5 minute call, and check the charges on your
next phone bill.
Can I use these access
numbers outside the UK?
Our access numbers will only work in the United Kingdom. So if you live
abroad or if you are on holiday outside the UK you cannot make use of
our services.
Am I able to use RingSID when
BT is not my service provider?
RingSID access numbers can be used from most landlines. The charges
for calls to our access numbers will simply appear on your normal phone
bill by your provider. Please check with your provider for any addtional
charges that they may make when dialing an 0844, 0870, or 090 type number.
When do call charges take
effect?
When you dial a RingSID access number you will be charged from the moment
you are connected to our service. If you find that you cannot get through
to the person you are calling, please contact
us immediately.
